Some of the most inspiring stories in the past year. "I didn't know if we were going to make it out alive or not," said Colleen Savage of Tonalea. "I didn't know what was going to happen to us. I was scared." The Department of Public Safety said Savage was only going about 15 mph in a 30-mph zone when she lost control coming out of a curve on Arizona Highway 89-A and plunged about 250 feet down a cliff. "She said, 'Be careful; I love you guys; I don't want to lose you guys,'" 9-year-old Valerie Hernandez said of her mother, Clararina Hernandez, who was in the front passenger seat.

They were dropped off and let her drive off. She drove a half mile when she hit a tree with the SUV she was driving. She died from this accident. Police said that her blood alcohol level was 0.27, which is 3x what the adult legal limit is. It isn't very often when people are charged for letting people drink and drive, but it isn't unheard of. Sometimes bartenders can be charged for letting people drive off after drinking. Some people are wondering if it really was the other teens faults, they had also been drinking and aren't of adult age so they may not have been able to make proper decisions by letting her drive. The accident happened in July last year, the teens were just charged.
