Death of 78 elephants in Zimbabwe in just one month has people worrying about the poaching trend in this country. The cause of death for these animals was from cyanide poisoning by poachers. Park rangers said that most of the elephants had their tusks taken off, which is how they know its poachers. They say that it is a new way of poaching because it is easier for people to find them.

This outbreak of poaching is not the first in Zimbabwe, in 2013 300 elephants were killed with cyanide. What is truly sad about the cyanide is how easy it is to get and how successful it is.

Nigeria has finally put a stop to fake bank accounts. Citizens were told to have their picture taken, along with their fingerprints. People at Nigeria's central bank stated that people without registration would lose access to their accounts. October 30th was the deadline for registration, making people make a last minute dash to the bank. Those who missed the deadline could be affected.
Cross river police made six arrest in Nigeria including the mother for selling her baby for $90. She told the police she was forced to sell her baby, because she was poor. In 2013 in the same area they rescued 17 teenagers that were pregnant and 11 babies. The police are going to open a search.

Four South African police officers have been charged with murder after a video was showed of them killing a criminal. The video was published by South Africa's Sunday Times newspaper. It shows one of the policeman shooting the man, and then it shows another kicking him on a street. The team of police officers were doing this to Khulekani Mpanza over a robbery.

A cargo plane has crashed on take off near the international airport in south sudan’s capital juba with at least 25 killed.
