I think the biggest news-worthy events in 2015 are correlated with ISIS. There is almost always something on the news that has to do with ISIS. One of the big ones was the Paris attacks on November 13. 130 people were killed, and hundreds were wounded.
I think one of the biggest news stories of 2015 was the attacks on Paris, France. Paris was attacked by terrorists believed to be from ISIS. More than 130 people were killed with over 100 injured. The attacks were in various crowd-heavy places in Paris. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34818994
This might not be the biggest news story but I thing it is a big deal, Steve Harvey announced the wrong girl for Miss Universe. He announced Miss Colombia. She walked to get the crown and even put it on. The real winner was Miss Philippines. Miss Colombia had to give back the crown and then it was given to Miss Philippines, Miss Universe 2015. I think it was just an honest mistake, but it would be horrible for the contestant that thought she won.
I feel that the biggest news story of 2015 is the collapse of Bill Cosby's Career. When Cosby was accused of drugging and taking advantage of over 40 women. This put Cosby in serious trouble. Although no evidence has proved the supposed charges. It has made a catastrophic impact on Cosby's career. Causing him to cancel shows and put him on the bad side.
In the sports spectrum of the world, I think the biggest new article was the "Deflategate" controversy. When the New England Patriots were accused of using balls that were under inflated against the Indianapolis Colts, which the game they did win. Later Tom Brady confessed that he knew about the deflated balls.
I feel that ISIS is a big event for 2015 news. One reason is because there are more and more people involved in ISIS each day that are trying to harm others. You never know when you could come across one of those people. More and more violence in the world keeps happening because of this. It is scary to think about, but we can't live in fear! http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34818994
The biggest news article of 2015 is the attack of France, hands down. 128 people were reportedly killed in the massacre. ISIS claimed responsibility of the attack. http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/13/world/paris-shooting/

In response to the attacks, France launched retaliatory missiles against ISIS points. The United States responded with the majority of states not wanting to accept refugees. http://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-34818994
I believe that the new article that had the most attention with the media would have to be the Caitlyn Jenner transformation. He dresses in women's clothing, which was posted all over social media. Once he finally came out to being transgender, News reporters were all over Jenner and his family.
The most groundbreaking medical discovery in my opinion was the Scripps Research Institute developing a vaccine that was effective against the fight on HIV and AIDS. The new vaccine alters DNA to fight off the virus. The research is of course still in the early stages but the results were very promising.
I believe the fall of Bill Cosby's career was the biggest new story of 2015. Forty-one women have accused him of drugging them and sexually assaulting them. According to allegations from one of the victims, "Cosby had a drawer full of drugs." Cosby admitted to giving quaaludes (methaqualone) and Benadryl to women. He lost support from fans and there were even statues of him taken down.
I would say the Paris shooting was the biggest news story. 128 people were killed and many more were wounded. This was one of the biggest shootings in the year. The terrorists were from isis. It was a terrible thing. http://www.cnn.com/2015/11/13/world/paris-shooting/
I believe that the Paris attack was one of the biggest news stories of 2015, just because it was ISIS. ISIS is starting to become a big deal! Many people were killed and wounded.
The Pair attacks were the biggest news story. The night this all happened was Friday 13 in November. These attacks were by gunmen and suicide bombers and they hit a concert hall, a major stadium, restaurants and bars. It left 130 people dead and hundreds wounded.

The Miss America Competition was probably the funniest news story of the year, but not the most important. I believe it is the most over commercialized news story. It was an honest mistake, everyone makes mistakes.
In my opinion one of the biggest news stories of 2015 is the Syrian refugees. This is because there has been war in the Middle East with ISIS causing a whole problem over there. Around 5 million refugees have fled the area of the Middle East.
I think the biggest news story was Ethan Couch only getting 10 years of probation for killing four people in a drunk driving crash in 2013. Then he fled to Mexico with his mom when he broke his probation

The biggest news story to me is the Pairs attacks. That killed 130 people and injured 300 more people. Then France is responded by shooting missiles at ISIS along with other countries.
The biggest news story of 2015 I think was the Deflategate. The Deflategate was a court case between the NFL commissioner and the New England Patriots. The NFL investigated the game balls of the AFC Championship and why most of them were under-inflated below the required amount of PSI. Throughout several court hearings, the New England Patriots were found not guilty.
