A Houston lawyer, Newton Boris Schwartz, is filing a lawsuit against Ted Cruz because he is questioning his eligibility to run for president since he was born in Canada. Cruz's mother, Eleanor, is a American citizen and after many past court cases he is said to be a American citizen through his mother. Though it is not exactly clear in the Constitution, that just having an American parents makes you a citizen, this seems to be the Case for Ted Cruz.
Ben Carson has suspended his campaigns on Wednesday, January 20 due to tragic events which occurred. On Tuesday, January 19, one of Ben Carson's campaign staff workers passed away after being treated which traumatic injuries. Ben Carson traveled to Omaha on Tuesday to visit Braden Joplin, who was treated at Nebraska Medical Center's trauma center. Joplin's injuries where brought on by an automobile accident near Atlantic, Iowa. One of the vans traveling Iowa, which included Joplin and three others, hit a patch of ice and flipped on its side. The other three passengers made it out alive.
