In Florida, there was a burning home that was in flames. Firefighters tried to get the people out of the house, but there was a hero dog that went inside the house and got everyone out. The dog was obviously injured from the burning house. Both of the childrens parents were veterans.
There is restaurant in a small Texas town where a boy named Blake was working at but then it closed and Blake was unemployed. Instead of getting sad blake started his own business and the rare thing about Blake is, is that he has Down Syndrome. Becoming the youngest business owner in his town at age 20.
Seven year old-first grader, Anaya Ellick was born without hands, but that didn't stop her from anything. She is the winner in the Zaner-Bloser 2016 National Handwriting Competition and won the Nicholas Maxim Special Award for Excellence in Manuscript Penmanship. The category is for children in kindergarten through eighth grade who have a physical or mental disability.
A Texas woman went traveling with her friend back in 2000. They went to India to see her friend's sponsored child, and her eyes opened when she saw all of the children in need. Now, in 2016, she has started a Miracle Foundation for the orphans of India. The foundation provides housing, clothing, love, food, and clean water. A woodpile caught on fire outside a home in California last Monday. The fire department came and they didn't realize there was a litter of kittens living in the woodpile. They were able to quickly put the fire out, and when it was all out they found four kitten survivors. The kittens were later returned to their mother when she returned.
A 2-year old toddler has been blind and deaf her whole life. She has had 7 major surgeries and all of them have failed. She was diagnosed with pediatric glaucoma shortly after birth. Doctors confirmed that she couldn't even see light. Two organizations joined together and raised over $17,000 to pay for another surgery. The surgery was 3 hours long, and was a success. After the surgery, they found that she had water build up in her inner ears. She had another surgery to drain the water and is now able to hear.
A local Orlando man named Greg Smith, meets with a homeless woman every Tuesday to teach her how to read. Smith tells reporters that on his way to work every day he would walk by the homeless woman named Amy Joe. She would never ask him for money just say good day, and god bless. One day Greg stopped and bought any lunch, he sat and ate with her hearing her wonderful stories. She then told him she couldn't read, and this made it very hard for her to find a job. As the villagers thought he was crazy for doing this he got it done in 40 days by himself by working 6 hours everyday. He said he wanted to combine two of his favorite things, people and snow cones, and that's exactly what he did. A 15-year old Quebec teenager claims to have discovered the long-lost ancient Mayan city using Google and astronomy. William Gadoury is very passionate about the Mayan society noticed that 22 of the Mayans constellations have 117 cities aligned with the stars in them. He calculated that one star was not aligned with a city and looked it up on Google Maps and found an outlined square in the forest, believed to be a man made structure. If he's calculations are correct, then the lost city is somewhere in a remote coastal location on the Yucatán Peninsula in Mexico.

While returning to a base in Iraq, British soldiers and an American K-9 unit was ambushed by 50 Isis fighters. The german shepherd sensed the danger and the handler set him free to attack the fighters. Isis fighters were so scared that they turned and retreated. No one was harmed and the dog returned safely. Help came a few minutes later and saved the soldiers and the heroic dog.
