  1. There was an 83 year old man who was executed. He is the oldest inmate put to death in modern U.S. history. This occurred un Alabama. His name was Walter Leroy Moody. He was convicted of murder for the mail bombing death of a federal judge in 1989. He was sentenced to life in prison then.

  2. A man named Anthony Mele was killed at a steakhouse in Southern California. He had his little daughter sitting on his lap when a homeless man came and stabbed him in the neck. The homeless mans name is Jamal Jackson. He has been charged with first degree murder. Mele passed away the next day, his daughter was not injured. The two men did not know each other.

  3. Anthony Mele was eating t a steak house with his child when a homeless man came in and randomly stabbed Anthony. The motive is not clear. The homless man was reported to police earlier but they said they didnt see him as a threat. The day after Mele died while the daughter lived.   4. Southwest Airlines cancelled 40 flights on Sunday. They cancelled them so they can inspect engines after last week's deadly accident in Pennsylvania. The airline announced the cancellations on Tuesday, and said the inspections will last for 30 days. The engine explosion was caused by a fan blade that broke off. The blast shattered a window, killing one passenger. The Southwest Airline declined to answer any questions about the inspections.

  5. This weekend their was a Fortnite tournament. Hundreds of fans, Youtubers, and Twitch Streamers. The player everyone was waiting to watch was of course Ninja. The even occurred in Las Vegas at the ESports arena. The tournament was called Ninja Vegas 18 and to lots of people this is known as the first official Fortnite tournament. It cost $75 for a ticket for 3 games and their was 9 games in general. The prizes were $2,500 for just killing Ninja and $2500 for winning the match itself. Only one player was able to defeat that task. He is known as Blind and not many people know who that is. Ninja only won 1 of the 9 games and finished 2nd twice.

  6. Donald Trump decided to condemn a Supreme Court decision. He wants to invalidate some of a federal law used to deport immigrants convicted of crimes. The Supreme Court ruled part of the law's definition of "crime and violence" as unconstitutionally vague. Trump reacted to all of this by tweeting serval things. One of his tweets was, "Today’s Court decision means that Congress must close loopholes that block the removal of dangerous criminal aliens, including aggravated felons. This is a public safety crisis that can only be fixed by Congress."

  7. In a Southern California steakhouse, a 49 year old homeless man named Jamal Jackson stabbed 35 year old Anthony Mele in the while he was holding his daughter in the restaurant. Jackson who is a convicted felon, has been charged with first degree and is being held in Ventura County jail on a $1.5 million dollar bail. Jackson is said t0 have a very long and rash criminal history.

  8. Travis Reinking showed up to a Waffle house near Nashville, with an AR-15 and killed 4 people, also leaving 7 injured. James Shaw Jr. wrestled the gun out of Reinking's hands and got it away from him. He then fled on foot and ran back to his apartment to put on pants. At this point Investigators have no idea why the shooting occurred. Investigators have yet to know, how he regained possession of weapons, after his incident near the White House.

  9. A man from Texas has been sentenced to 50 years in prison for stealing more than $1.2 million dollars worth of fajitas. He did this while acting like a public servant. He worked at the juvenile detention center in San Benito, Texas until they found out he had been placing orders for fajitas using county funds and then selling them for his own profit since December 2008. He was sentenced on Friday and has a fine of $10,000 as long with the $1,251,578.72 he owes the center back.

  10. A man, Jacob A. Garcia, on an American Airlines flight was tasered on Monday night because he was touching another passenger inappropriately. He was tasered before take of in a Miami airport. The reports came from the female passenger's boyfriend before take off. As passengers were beginning the to get off the plane because of this incident, a physical altercation between the suspect and 3 police officers that eventually let to him being tasered and taken into custody. He was later charged with battery, depriving an officer of a firearm, criminal mischief, and disorderly conduct.

  11. Sean Manaea threw the major leagues first no hitter of the season. He did this when they played the 17-2 Boston Red Sox . The Red Sox had previously led all of baseball in the batting statistics as in runs per game and a contact rate of 81.6. Sean Manaea had 108 pitches when the 9th inning came to a close. This was a questionable no hitter as there was a pop fly in the 5th inning that was dropped that was determined an error by the shortstop.

  12. White sox relief pitcher Danny Farquhar suffered an aneurysm during Fridays game against the Astros. He passed out in the sixth inning after getting two outs for his team. The teams medical staff helped him off and he was able to regain consciousness before reaching the hospital. Danny had brain surgery on Saturday. He is doing good as he has been talking to his doctors and family after the surgery.

  13. A 13 year old boy shot his 11 year old brother in a suburb in Cleveland. Police say officers were called to the house at 9:30 pm Monday. Late that day the 11 year old boy dies at the hospital. Police say the 13-year-old has been charged with aggravated murder in Portage County Juvenile Court. The police say the boy stole the gun from his grandfathers house. The boy wont say why he shot his brother.

  14. Ventura college football team brought in a NFL quarterback to act like a transfer. The quarterback was Los Angeles Ram's Jared Goff. The college football team became quickly jealous of the new transfer, especially the current quarterbacks. They were nervous about their previous spots being taken this coming fall. Once practice was over, Ventura's coach finally announced who the transfer actually was. The whole team was shook. Some players even said they would never forget this experience for the rest of their life.

  15. Geese are some terrifying animals, and this story reminds us of that. Pictures have gone viral through social media recently of a high school golfer in Canada being attacked by a goose. This event, according to A.J. Willingham, reminds us of the "natural order." The boy attacked is named Isaac Couling. This 16 year old was competing for the Concord High School golf team in the Madison Tournament at the World Creek Golf Course in Adrian, Michigan. This event, while unfortunate, reminds us that geese are a force to be reckoned with

  16. Two Dallas police officers were shot and critically wounded on Tuesday. Dallas police were looking for a 29 year old Hispanic man named Armando Luis Juárez in connection with the shooting at a Home Depot. The incident began Tuesday afternoon, when an off-duty officer at the Home Depot called to request backup officers for an arrest. The man fled in a white pickup.

  17. Migrants from Tijuna, Mexico are seeking refuge from the U.S. despite the threats given from Trump. Many migrants from Mexico began arriving to the border on Tuesday to escape their country filled with violence and persecution. Trump has threatened these migrants that they would be deported or charged criminally. Some individuals have already tried crossing the border but have been denied. One seventeen year old girl states that she will try again.

  18. A shooting occurred in Dallas yesterday . A man was being ejected from a convenience store for an unknown reason at this time and he then opened fire hitting two police officers and the employee working. The people injured went to the hospital and got surgery. After the man shot he then led the police on a high speed chase and then was caught at around 10 last night. Now for the two police officers and employee are recovering well.

  19. 76ers won game 5 in the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, Eliminating the Heat. The biggest story to come out of the series is Dwayne Wade's impending decision to renew his contract or retire. Many saw this years playoffs as the last hurrah as he was traded home earlier this season from Cleveland to Miami. Wade is a surefire Hall of Famer. The 76ers advanced behind the play of Rookie Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. Miami is expected to make a large summer overhaul with another first-round oust in the playoffs.

  20. In Michigan there was a 5 year old student that was assaulted and humiliated in his classroom. The teacher taped his mouth shut and threw away his lunch. Another teacher joined in and they began to laugh in the kids face. They told the student to not tell anyone.

  21. A decade long hunt over a masked criminal gunman who was suspected to be the golden state killer has finally come to an end. Joseph James DeAngelo who is a 72 year old police officer was arrested at his suburban home in Sacramento. He was taken into custody on a warrant in Ventura County, California for 2 murder charges, a dozen people killed, and then 45 rape incidents and long with that 120 homes stolen from in a 12 year span.

  22. A 13-year-old junior high school student has been arrested for bringing chemicals to school to build a bomb. The unidentified William Pitcher Jr. High School student brought chemicals “consistent with materials commonly used to manufacture a bomb” to school, according to Covington Police Chief Tim Lentz. The student has been charged with manufacture and possession of a bomb and booked into the Florida Parishes Juvenile Detention Center.

  23. Joseph James DeAngelo's also known as the Golden State killer. His neighbors always thought he was weird, did things at random times in the day. He was suspected of killings, rapes and assaults in the 70's and 80's that sparked an investigation that lasted more than 40 years. They took him into custody on tuesday. He is being held without bail in Sacramento.

  25. The Golden State Killer, a serial killer and rapist allegedly responsible for up to 12 murders and 50 rapes. The case had been considered a cold case, and hadn't been solved for almost 50 years. The killer has been identified as 72 year old Joseph James DiAngelo, who is a former California police officer. Police were able to identify him as his DNA matched that of the Golden State Killer. The former neighbors of DiAngelo described him as violent and threatening.

  26. In Michigan a 5 year old kid was assaulted and humiliated in front of the class, and the family is not happy with it. The kid says the teachers left him hungry and barley breathing. he said the teacher put scotch tape on his mouth. They teachers kept him from eating up to 10 times. His food was thrown out. The family filed a police report on the school.

  27. California man fatally stabbed while dining with his daughter on his lap. Anthony Mele was dining at a steakhouse in Southern California with his daughter on his lap when a homeless man allegedly walked up to him Wednesday and stabbed him in the neck. Jamal Jackson was 49 years old shortly after the attack was arrested for first-degree murder. Mele died the next day and his daughter didn't have any injuries.

  28. A man was bitten by a shark, and mauled by a bear during the same year. A man that lives in colorado took a surfing trip out to Hawaii where he was bitten by a shark on his leg about 50 yards away from shore. While the stitches were bad enough, they were still a less serious wound than the injury he sufffered to a bear the summer before. He was teaching a wilderness survival class (go figure) and was bitten on his head by a bear in the middle of the night. The bear drug him out of his tent by his head, but ran off spooked before it could actually make a fatal bite.

  29. A small town in Hawaii may of had one of the raniest days in U.S. history. Heavy storms brought more than four feet of rain. A rain gauge about a mile west of Hanalei recorded a whopping 49.69 inches of rain during a 24-hour period from April 15-16. This broke the record of 43 inches of rain. That was in Texas.
