In a recent Iowa State University study, they found that the new international tariffs would cost Iowa's economy up to $2 billion dollars alone. Soybean producers are being offered $1.60 cents per bushel after the harvest. Many say that the money offered by the government doesn't even come close to what the payout would be if they would just settle the trade war with China. If the tariffs wouldn't have all came at once, it would have been a much more positive impact on Iowa Farmers. All Iowa farmers are feeling the effects of the international tariffs in one way or another.
