Trump And Congressional Leaders To Meet Again, But Shutdown Deal Remains Unlikely President Donald Trump partially shut the government down before Christmas. Leaders were forced to work without pay for over two weeks. The cause of the shutdown is the lack of bipartisanship in the White House. Donald Trump's main campaign issue was that he was going to build a wall. Obviously something needs to be done at our southern border, and democrats are refusing to propose any deals. President Trump is not willing to re-open the government without compromise from the democrats. President Trump and congressional leaders met January 4, 2019, to attempt compromise on a deal. He will have 8 minutes on the air for the speech to be debated on social media.

There was a meeting on Wednesday in which they will attempt to come to compromise and relieve this government shutdown.

He also points out it would stop and prevent countless illegal immigrant related crimes. Trump Storms Out of White House Meeting With Democrats on Shutdown Posted January 9th, 2019 After talking with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi about the government shutdown and the border wall funding, Trump stormed out of the White House and went to the Capitol to speak to the Republican leadership group. Some of the Democrats who were at the White House at the time said Trump "through a temper tantrum" and "gave an abrupt bye-bye". They said it was something a little kid would've done. After this incident, Nancy Pelosi spoke to the press on her way to the Capitol and one of her statements were “It wasn’t even a high-stakes negotiation; it was a petulant president of the United States.” https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/09/us/politics/government-shutdown-trump-senate.html?rref=collection%2Ftimestopic%2FUnited%20States%20Politics%20and%20Government&action=click&contentCollection=timestopics®ion=stream&module=stream_unit&version=latest&contentPlacement=10&pgtype=collection

Trump shut the government down beacouse he didnt get him way. Hes going to visite wall tonight .
President Trump still remains at 5.7 million for the souther border wall. The house and the senate are suppose to help him fund to end the government shut down. President Trump left for McAllen Texas today looking to press Democrats for a yes on the proposed wall. The current walls and barriers on the border stretch for about 654 miles. Trump is looking to expand the current barriers to more than 1,000 miles. On January 8 Trump addressed the current border situation. Stating multiple times that the wall would pay for itself within years. Asking for almost ten billion dollars less then his originally projected 15 billion dollar budget.
My article is about President Trump going to Texas to talk to the border control to talk to them about border security and immigration. While they were talking about how to flip it back on Mexico and make them pay for it all some people say the wall in medieval. Trumps come back was saying that wheels are medieval too.
Trump makes humanitarian case for wall, calling border situation ‘a crisis of the soul’
The United States government has taken a turn and has been shut down for three weeks. Trump says he will proceed to keep the government down until the democrats fund the wall's border security. He is hoping the democrats pay 5.5 billion dollars for just the funding. Wednesday their will be a meeting for the democrats and Trump to find reasoning.
The recent government shutdown poses a health threat to the U.S. The FDA (Food and Drug Administration) normally performs inspections to make sure the food U.S. citizens receive does not contain any harmful materials. Due to the shut down, workers have Furloughed because they were not promised a paycheck. So far the impact of the lack of FDA members hasn’t affected many retailers, but potentially, food standards and testing by the FDA may not be possible causing a threat to our nation.

Donald Trump traveled to the southwester boarder where he said over and over again that a wall would be precise wich led to a bitter goverment shutdown that is on it's 21st day. He blamed the shutdown against the democrats and also suggested that he might declare a national emergency to bypass congress. White House officials considered diverting emergency aid to build a border barrier.
"U.S. government workers are posting $0 pay stubs on social media–minus deductions" 1/9/19 Due to the government shutdown many people are not receiving their regular pay checks. Lots of people are now taking to social media to show people their latest pay stub. On many of the pay stubs the deduction is much larger than the amount of money being received. People are actually 'owing' money for working instead of getting it. The deductions for their benefits are still being taken out of their non-existent paycheck. Many will be reimbursed, but for now people aren't happy. Government employees hope that the shutdown will end before breaking the record for longest shut down ever.

The chief of staff in the Pentagon, Kevin Sweeney, resigned just shortly after James Mattis, Secretary of Defense. Since then, other important people in the department of defense have been resigning, such as Sweeney. Although another Secretary of Defense was sworn in, this scenario causes panic throughout the nation concerning our safety.

President Trump left for McAllen Texas today looking to press Democrats for a yes on the proposed wall. The current walls and barriers on the border stretch for about 654 miles. Trump is looking to expand the current barriers to more than 1,000 miles. On January 8 Trump addressed the current border situation. "U.S. government workers are posting $0 pay stubs on social media–minus deductions"
ReplyDelete1/9/19
Due to the government shutdown many people are not receiving their regular pay checks.
