Iowa schools have missed numerous days due to harsh weather conditions, and many of those schools are not wanting to make the days up at the end of the year. So far, 14,000 people in Iowa have signed a petition, asking Kim Reynolds to forgive the days missed. She is unable to do this, but legislators in Iowa can. If this doesn't go into affect this year, the plan is to use it next year. As for this year, many schools are trying to figure out efficient ways to get in the 1,080 hours necessary.
