A fire gutted parts of Notre Dame Cathedral and altered the Paris skyline
As most people know there was a fire a the notre dame church in france. The cause of the fire is still unknown but people are looking into finding the source. Once the fire started people started raising money for the rebuilding project. This situation somewhat relates to the rebuilding of the palace of versaille after it was trashed in the 1790s. The church was nearly 700 years old at the time of the fire.

The fire of Notre Dame has left a lot of damage to the historical cathedral. Despite the damage drone photos show the 3 bee hives on it’s roof still in tact after the fire. According to the bee tender of the cathedral Nicoles Geant this is a good sign that the 180,000 could still be alive. Geant explained that the bees can't suffocate because they don’t have lungs and the only worry they hd was the fir melting and burning the hives but they didn’t so there is a possibility they could still be alive. It isn’t for sure yet and will be found out when they are allowed on the roof again.

Many of the homeless people help posters saying "41 Billion in 24 hours". Many people chanted, "Notre Dame needs a roof, we need a roof too". The people chanted directly at Bernard Arnault, who pledged to donate $226 million.

In the wake of the Notre Dame fire disaster, many people were calling for donators in order to fund the repairs for the historical monument. Six days ago, the Notre Dame fund hits over half a billion euros, with a billionaire donating 200 million. L'Oreal and the Bettencourt groups are offering to donate this money themselves.
During the disaster, the building had a fire that caused its spire to implode, and many have recently poured their sympathies out in several communities.
This news is an interesting case of people's tendencies to donate to certain causes, with many pointing out the exorbitant money in this case, and critics pointing to other unnoticed causes that are neglected.

Notre Dame was 'no accident' – why France believes Paris cathedral blaze was Europe’s 9/11
Several people have begun to question whether the burning of the cathedral was an accident or if it was planned out much like the bombing of 9/11. An activist named Dupont-Aignan was persistent in questioning the cause of the fire and demanded an opening of a criminal probe which would create a more in depth investigation. The prosecutors office responded with no evidence of a "deliberate act," but that wasn't enough for Aignan. He further tested the conspiracy theories and accused the media for creating lies. Yet, authorities continue to state it was purely an accident.
Notre Dame fire was a warning bell. But will Europe listen?
Including The Notre Dame Cathedral these Gothic styles of art provides Europe with a multibillion-dollar tourism industry. People are worried for the economic affects this will have on their homeland. Many art protection foundation are saying “as if Notre Dame decided to set itself on fire to ring the alarm bell. As if she wanted to sacrifice herself for the cause.” They wish the government will put more money into the protection of art. This is not the first time a fire has took a historical building. Prior to the Notre Dame tower the library of alexandria burnt down.
After the burning of the Noter Dame Cathedral people have been coming together to try to rebuild. In a short amount of time they have raised $1 billion dollars. They have been talking and they aren't even sure that $1 billions dollars will be enough to fix the Cathedral. They have estimated that it will cost around $1.5 billion- $2 billion dollars to rebuild. They are working so hard to rebuild this Cathedral, because this is what is saving Paris. The Cathedral is what brings in most of the economic money for Paris. Their economy will suffer if they do no rebuild.
Notre-Dame fire: Rain threatens France's damaged cathedral Written: April 23, 2019 ----- As architects are preparing to start the rebuilding of Notre Dame, an obstacle is now in their path. Heavy rains are supposed to start on Wednesday, April 24th, and continue throughout the week. It is feared that the rain will cause greater damage to the cathedral, and then the rebuilding period might have to be extended past the five year goal. Due to the critical condition of the cathedral, the rain could potentially knock most of it down. An enormous 'tarp/umbrella' was custom made for Notre Dame but is yet to arrive, causing panic. For the time being, a make-shift church is going to be built near Notre Dame so Catholic masses can continue. ----- https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-48022661
Workers hurry to protect Fire-Damaged Notre-Dame’s Interior Before It Rains
Rain is expected in Paris later this week and workers go overtime to protect the remaining interior. To protect the interior the workers are scaling the walls with ropes to place a giant tarpaulin covering. The fire last week destroyed the buildings attic and roof leaving a hole which exposes the building's interior exposed. The workers said they are working as fast as they can but it’s a dangerous job. It’s dangerous due to the fire leaving the building very unstable.
There is now a new problem with the Cathedral of Notre Dame, rain. Workers of the Cathedral have been doing what they can assure no more damage will happen. So they have been setting up tarpaulin coverings. Because of the fire there is large holes everywhere and they need to cover them so it stays stable enough. Before putting up the tarp they had to set up large metal beams to suspend the tarp.
Notre Dame cathedral fire likely caused by electrical short-circuit. Investigating has been going on since the fire started. The investigators think that it started because of an electrical problem. But they have not made that the reason because they do not have the green light to go and investigate the cathedral. Right now the are putting wooden planks where the structure is fragile so the investigators can actually go in and figure out how the fires started. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/notre-dame-cathedral-fire-short-circuit-cause-blaze-paris-a8877366.html
Notre-Dame fire: Rain threatens France's damaged cathedral During the fire Notre Dame vault collapsed. Today their is a chance of rain and if the rain comes it could damage the cathedral by having it collapse more. They do have an umbrella that is on its way to cover the building from the rain, however the large umbrella is not ready and they are running out of time. People where asking how would the umbrella get up their. They plan on having climbers climb the cathedral and put it up. (I ind that dumb). The cathedral should be rebuilt by the time olympics is held in Paris which is in 2024.
So we all know the devastating tragedy of Notre Dame catching on fire and its roof collapsing. When employees were questioned they said that an alarm went off. Though it ended up showing a fire in the wrong location due to a bug in the computer system. Though a while later there was another alarm that went off and then with minutes the entire church was engulfed in flames. After it was put out people were devastated and restoration efforts have been made. Fundraising as reached about 1 billion dollars.
University of Notre Dame donated 100,000 to Landmark Notre Dame
The university of Notre Dame in Indiana donated 100,000 toward the renovation of the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. There is no connection between the cathedral and the university. In addition, the bells of Ballistica of Sacred Heart of Notre Dame will toll 50 times to represent the 50 Hail Marys of Our Lady's Rosary.
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2019/apr/25/notre-dame-fire-scientists-begin-hunt-for-evidence-on-cause Notre Dame police scientists are trying to figure out the cause of the fire by taking samples of the things that may have caused the incident. Police believe the fire started with a electrical short circuit. Investigators are trying to figure out if the cathedrals staff followed the procedures when the first alarm went off. Staff say they didn't see anything unusual until the second alarm went off 20 min later.
France wants to speed up the restoration progress on the Notre Dam cathedral. The government presented a bill which stated they want the construction process to be sped up. The goal is to have the cathedral rebuilt within the next five years, but a lot of people just don't think that is possible because there was so much damage done. There was an 8,000 pipe organ that did not have any damages done to it. One man examined the instrument for over 2 hours and said the best way to keep it in shape is to keep playing it and keep it in a waterproof case.
The search has begun in the Notre Dame cathedral. It has taken 10 days to fully secure the building to make sure it was safe to go in. Many different agencies will start the investigation for what brought the cathedral into flames. The police first believe it began with an electrical short circuit. The investigation is also checking to see if all the correct procedures took place, when the first fire alarm went off.
A fire gutted the inside of the Notre Dame Cathedral and altered the Paris skylines. the fire happened on Monday April 15, 2019. one of the fire man that was fighting the fire was seriously injured.
France no longer has trees tall enough to rebuild Notre-Dame's roof as it was. The cathedral of Notre Dame most likely will be built in a very different way. Some of the original beams that held up the structure came from massive trees, but with recent deforestation there is no tree in France that size. The two options are bolting two boards together and the other option is out sourcing. https://www.thisisinsider.com/french-trees-to-rebuild-notre-dame-are-too-small-2019-4
Heavy rain puts Notre Dame Cathedral at risk for more damage Posted April 25th, 2019 There are rains predicted for today through Sunday and they are supposed to bring a little havoc to the structure of the cathedral. Workers are scrambling to cover the huge holes with big tarps set in place by professional mountain climbers. They are hoping to get the whole cathedral rebuilt before the 2024 Olympics that are being held in Paris. Only about half of the funds have been totally raised but France has enough to start reconstruction on the 856 year old cathedral. https://www.accuweather.com/en/weather-news/heavy-rain-puts-notre-dame-cathedral-at-risk-for-more-damage/70008094
Today, April 25, Scientists began searching for the cause of the Notre Dame fire. It took 10 days from the beginning of the fire for investigators to be able to start searching safely. The cause is still not known for sure, but the heat and most damage seemed to take place near an electrical short circuit.
"Notre Dame beekeeper waits to learn fate of his 18,000 bees" April 17th, 2019 Few people know but on top of the Notre Dame Cathedral lives 18,000 bees. Beekeeper, Nicolas Geant, was concerned for the fate of his bees after the terrible fire at Notre Dame. Of course he was not allowed to go check on the bees as it was not safe, but he did look at arial photos. In these pictures he was able to see the three beehives still safe and sound on top of the building despite a lot of the roof caving in near them. Still he worried if the bees would live and sure enough "clusters" of bees have been seen on the rubble of the cathedral. Geant is hopeful that at least some of his bees have made it though the fire.
The university of Notre Dame donated 100,000 to the Cathedral. There were bees on thop of the Cathedral to stop the bee die off and there were 20,000 bees that survied people are so glad that most of the bees lived this was a huge part to the Cathedral.
Notre-Dame Fire Investigators Focus on Short-Circuit and Cigarettes Investigators are focusing on two possible causes for the fire. A short electrical circuit from electrical bells is one idea. Another idea is negligence by workers doing renovations and some cigarette butts that were found. On Thursday, they were able to search the inside of the cathedral. They were not previously able to because of safety concerns. They have found cigarette butts on the scaffolding of the building. One worker was seen smoking. When interviewing individuals they say they might have smoked, and they regret it. https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/25/world/europe/notre-dame-fire-investigation.html
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-europe-47941794 The 850 year old Notre-Dame had caught fire and the two tower fell but they manage to save most of the art that was in the fire structure. The start of the fire is still not solve. The president Emmanuel Macron called it a "terrible tragedy".

Architects have been rushing to preserve and cover the Notre-Dame Cathedral before the rain can cause any further damage. This evening showers and a possibility of thunderstorms are forecasted over the Cathedral. The vault in the Cathedral is already partly water logged because of the efforts to put out the fire. The beams and climbers are ready, but they are still waiting on the tarpaulins to show up. There are three main holes in the ceiling of the vault that need to be prioritized.

Notre Dame was 'no accident' – why France believes Paris cathedral blaze was Europe’s 9/11
ReplyDeleteSeveral people have begun to question whether the burning of the cathedral was an accident or if it was planned out much like the bombing of 9/11.

ReplyDeleteNotre Dame fire was a warning bell.

Notre-Dame fire: Rain threatens France's damaged cathedral
ReplyDeleteWritten: April 23, 2019
-----
As architects are preparing to start the rebuilding of Notre Dame, an obstacle is now in their path.

Workers hurry to protect Fire-Damaged Notre-Dame’s Interior Before It Rains
ReplyDeleteRain is expected in Paris later this week and workers go overtime to protect the remaining interior.

ReplyDeleteInvestigating has been going on since the fire started. The investigators think that it started because of an electrical problem. But they have not made that the reason because they do not have the green light to go and investigate the cathedral. Right now the are putting wooden planks where the structure is fragile so the investigators can actually go in and figure out how the fires started.

Notre-Dame fire: Rain threatens France's damaged cathedral
ReplyDeleteDuring the fire Notre Dame vault collapsed.

ReplyDeleteNotre Dame police scientists are trying to figure out the cause of the fire by taking samples of the things that may have caused the incident. Police believe the fire started with a electrical short circuit. Investigators are trying to figure out if the cathedrals staff followed the procedures when the first alarm went off. Staff say they didn't see anything unusual until the second alarm went off 20 min later.

ReplyDeleteFrance wants to speed up the restoration progress on the Notre Dam cathedral.

Heavy rain puts Notre Dame Cathedral at risk for more damage
ReplyDeletePosted April 25th, 2019
There are rains predicted for today through Sunday and they are supposed to bring a little havoc to the structure of the cathedral.

"Notre Dame beekeeper waits to learn fate of his 18,000 bees"
ReplyDeleteApril 17th, 2019
Few people know but on top of the Notre Dame Cathedral lives 18,000 bees.

Notre-Dame Fire Investigators Focus on Short-Circuit and Cigarettes
ReplyDeleteInvestigators are focusing on two possible causes for the fire.
