  1. San Francisco has many homeless people. Among the many problems the homeless face is little or no access to showers. San Francisco only has about 16 to 20 shower stalls to accommodate them. Doniece Sandoval started Lava Mae, a sort of showers on wheels, a new project that aims to turn decommissioned city buses into shower stations for the homeless. Each bus will have two shower stations and Sandoval expects that by 2015, they’ll be able to provide 2000 showers a week. The San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency has donated one bus for the cause and is willing to donate three more in the future if the project succeeds. Sandoval hopes the first bus will be able to hit the road in March.

  4. A girl in South Korea has started a new trend out of watching people eat online. This girl can eat 4 pizzas in one sitting and stay incredibly skinny, due to her high metabolism. She spends hours eating, then spends a few extra hours talking to fans. People enjoy her broadcasts for a few reasons. One fan says that she helped them recover from anorexia. Other fans say that when they're dieting, they'll watch her videos and it helps them stay on track. Some fans watch because in South Korea, eating is a big family thing, so since they live alone, they'll eat as she broadcasts and pretend they're eating next to her.

  8. If you ate pizza on Super Bowl Sunday, you weren't alone. Super Bowl Sunday is one of the busiest days for pizza deliveries. At Mama Nick's Circle Pizzeria in Waterloo, business was pretty steady all night, but deliveries were up. They say it's hard to predict how busy the night is going to be. It all depends on if the game is exciting or how bad the weather is. "We've been in business since the 60's so you know we've just gone through the whole time frame of first of all being the only place and then after that many other places jumped in, many more deliveries," said George Nicholas, restaurant owner.
Nicholas says other big delivery days for his business are the night before Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve
