  1. In August ISIS video taped the beheading of US journalist James Foley who had been missing since 2012. In September ISIS again video taped the beheading of another US journalist Steven Sotloff. The killer is dressed in black in both videos with a mask and boots. He also waves a knife in his left hand in both videos

  3. The terrorist group, ISIS, has video taped the beheading of two U.S. journalist, James Foley and Steven Scotloff. ISIS has conquered more and more territory as time goes on. NATO is determining its next move as a response to this. It is ironic because this area was once considered civilized and now is at war again.

The number of ISIS members are growing, and people from other countries are joining them. The U.S. will be involved, and go to Iraq to fight off ISIS

  6. ISIS a terrorist group that beheaded two United States citizen James Foley and Steven Scotloff, now controls a territory the size of the United Kingdom. ISIS is also making £600,000 selling oil. ISIS is now grown to a size of 10,000 militants. Mathew Olsen, a United States terrorism official says that the reason for ISIS's grow is primarily the fact that Syria and Iraq both have weak governments. ISIS now is also threatening to out do al-Qa’ida as the "dominant voice of global extremist movement."

  9. ISIS is a terrorist group led by Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. They want to create an Islamic state across Iraq and Syria. They're trying to get rid of any individuals that don't follow the Islamic religion. In Iraq and Syria christians have been targets. They either execute them or force them to leave their homes. Many of these soldiers came from Saddam Hussein's military. They are able to function because of money they get through extortion, robbery, and large scale attacks. They didn't have a leader until April 2010. They didn't start becoming active until 2014. They've been responsible for beheadings to stop the U.S. involvement. Should we be worried, yes, we should always have it in our mind. Our army's are probably gonna fight them when they go to different countries. http://www.cnn.com/2014/08/08/world/isis-fast-facts/

  11. Three German men suspected of being members of the Somali-based terrorist organization al-Shabab were arrested at Frankfurt airport after landing there on a flight from Kenya. The three German men were arrested in Frankfurt on Saturday on charges of membership in a foreign terrorist organization and of preparing an act of violence in connection with their time in Somalia. However "there is no evidence the suspects had made any concrete preparations or plans for attacks" in Europe. A year ago, Al-Shabab gunmen attacked the Westgate Mall in Kenya, killing at least 67 people. Al-Shabab announced over the weekend that it has appointed a new leader to replace Ahmed Abdi Godane, who was killed in a U.S. airstrike a week ago.

  18. al-Qaida is a world wide militant islamist and Wahhabist organization that was originally founded by the extremist Osama bin Laden some time around 1988. The organization has claimed responsibilities for attacks all over the world. A majority of their attack involve suicide bombing, and multiple targets simultaneously. 20. Civilians, a police station, government offices and smashed vehicles, were attacked by gang wielding knives and axes, in a restive region of Northeast China. The incident, called an "organized and premeditated" terror attack, occurred Monday. It was not immediately known how many people were killed and injured, and there have been other attacks in the region in recent months. Police officers at the scene shot dead dozens of people in the mob. Thirty-one cars were vandalized, including six that were set ablaze. Twenty-nine people were killed and 130 injured when men armed with long knives stormed a train station in Kunming in March. The next month, an attack on a train station in Urumqi, Xinjiang's capital, left three dead, including the attackers, and an attack on an Urumqi market in May killed at least 39 people.

  22. Isis has beheaded 2 american journalists by the names of James Foley, and Steven Sotloff. The reason the second beheading happened was because they wanted the U.S to stop sending airstrikes.

  24. ISIS is a major terrorist threat to our country at this time. Two American journalists, James Foley and Steven Sotloff, were beheaded by ISIS in the past month. ISIS video taped these beheadings and that is how the United States is seeing them. The government is trying to decide on what to do about these beheadings and threats. The family of Steven Sotloff believes ISIS has paid a rebel group as much as $50,000 for telling them where Sotloff was. Tonight Obama will signal airstrikes planned in Syria. Either way he goes, his decision will be criticized.

  26. On July 19, 2014, a terrorist group attacked two Tunisian Army posts. The identity of this terrorist group is jihadists. They have had similar attacks in the past but this one was the biggest one since 1956. They killed 14 Tunisian soldiers, injured 18 soldiers, and captured a soldier with machine guns and grenade launchers. They estimated that there were about 40-60 terrorists attacking the camp. The ministry of Tunisia think that they might be connected to Al-Qaeda. This attack was nearly a year later to a previous attack where 8 Tunisian soldiers were found dead.
