A VCU-St. Bonaventure game ended in a very weird way. With 3.2 seconds left, St. Bonaventure inbounded the ball at the baseline. They were down 65-63 when they made a 3 pointer and were ahead by 1. St. Bonaventure's fans thought the game was over and stormed the court. There was .4 seconds left, so the refs called a technical due to the fans delaying the game. VCU made a free throw to tie the game 66-66 and sent it into overtime. VCU ended up scoring 17 points in overtime and beating St. Bonaventure 83-77.

  3. For the first time in history a Super Bowl needed an over time and for the 5th time the New Zealand Patriots are the champions. It took the biggest comeback in history to do it, defeating Falcons 34-28. Atlanta had a lead midway through the third quarter but a fumble by Matt Ryan helped the Patriots come all the way back. The Patriots returned to the Super Bowl for the 9th time, an NFL record. Sunday's big win gave Brady the most Super Bowl titles by a quarterback and matched Charles Haley for the most Super Bowl titles by a player

  4. A very historic super bowl was played last night. The Atlanta Falcons faced off against the New England Patriots. It was Atlanta who started hot scoring three touchdowns in the first half leading 21-3. Many thought the game was over at that point, but it wasn't. The Patriots snuck back and with the help of two two point conversions tied it with a minute left 28-28. It was the first super bowl in history to go into overtime. The Pats won the toss and drove down the field with James White scoring the game winning touchdown. It was Tom Bradys seventh super bowl appearance and he has won five of them which has never been done in NFL history. He maybe the best QB of all time.

  5. Last night the Super Bowl was played between the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots. As for the Falcons, it was there second time in history for them to make it to the Super Bowl. The Falcons were unstoppable throughout the game. They were leading by a number of points. By the second quarter the Falcons were up 21-0 and by the start of the 4th quarter they were still winning 28-9. With two minutes to go Atlanta closed the gap to 28-20. They managed to tie the game up and be apart of the first ever overtime Super Bowl game in history. Brady also set a record for passing yards. Patriots won with an ending score of 34-28. This was their fifth Super Bowl win. If you did't watch the game, you missed a good one!

  9. As the Patriots won the Super Bowl, many are disappointed that Tom Brady was the player that ended up with the MVP trophy. James White was favored to win it, as Tom Brady only had 466 passing yards, nothing short of spectacular, considering the start of the game. While White broke the record for receptions, a total of 14. He matched Terrell Davis’s record of 3 touch downs, and Terrell Davis rose the MVP for these efforts. It came as no surprise when Tom received it, but was it for the right reasons?

  10. Julian Edelman had one of the greatest catches in MFL history in Super Bowl 51 last night. The Patriots were down eight. Tom Brady threw up a pass to Julian Edelman that was tipped and seemed to be hanging in the air forever. Three Falcons defenders converged, Edelman went between the legs of one of them. As the ball nearly hit the ground, he snagged it out of mid-air. It was said to have been resting on one of the defenders arms.

One reason people believe they lost is because they got too cocky and were feeling too confident in themselves, and in their head they had already won. Some are very happy and some are very sad that this happened but it is the first Super Bowl to go into overtime. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2691443-falcons-have-self-inflicted-wounds-to-blame-for-epic-super-bowl-collapse
