The prime minister of New Zealand announced recently that she is three months pregnant. The first ever pregnant women in office was Pakistans world leader in 1990. Ardern came into office in 2017 and was just the third lady to be in office. They already have an alternative leader once the child is born. This leader will lead for 6 weeks and will most likely be in June. The fill in minister is more concerned for the health of Ardern and the child more than leadership.

Jacinda Arden announced she was going to be expecting a baby. It came as a small surprise to her because she found out she was pregnant just days before she took office. She is the third leader in her country to take office and not the first women to be pregnant in office. Arden is super excited to be pregnant after she was told they would most likely need help when trying to conceive the baby. She says after the baby is born and she has finished her leave, she will return to office to run the country as smoothly as possible.

    -------------------------------------------------------
As most people know there was a trade war between the U.S. and China. That was temporarily stopped as the U.S. and China are working on a trade deal. The deal has been discussed for almost three months now but no deal has been reached yet. Significant progress has been made, but the deal is still a ways out. Both the U.S. leader, Donald Trump, and China's leader, Xi Jingping, have been spearheading the deal.

A picture was posted of Miguel eating a dinner with people in his home. The reason this is a problem is that he was serving thousand dollar wine. No one knows what exactly went on during this dinner or what they had, but people are upset that the president isn't practicing frugality.

Bolsonaro, the President of Brazil, states that “there is no doubt” about the Nazis being leftist in their movement, after his visit in an Israeli Holocaust Memorial Museum. He added to his statement remarks about Nazis being called the German National Socialist Party, apparently emphasizing the "Socialist" portion of the name.

It's important to note that the Nazis, historically, were capitalists, and that Nazi Germany had an authoritarian fascist form of government, with obvious hierarchies in place. This is the cause of the controversy of the politician's statement.

Jane Philpott, a former cabinet minister, claims that Canada's Prime Minister Justin Trudeau violated the law when he expelled her and Jody Wilson-Raybauld. He had expelled them from the Liberal caucus. There is a rule that MP's cannot be kicked out of the caucus without a vote, but that didn't stop Trudeau from ejecting these two former members. If the rules had been followed, there would have needed to be 90 LIberal MP's voting to eject these two ladies. Today, Philpott has asked Speaker Geoff Regan to investigate and declare that their privileges as caucus members were violated.

It's time again for election day in Israel; a national holiday. This year, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, is running for re-election, but he is using tactics some may consider to be illegal. In order for him to have a successful win of the votes, he is trying to make a last minute plea to those of the right-wing party, making contradictory statements to what he said to the other party. If he manages to win, over Benny Gantz, he will hold the title for the longest serving prime minister of Israel. As of right now, the voting it too close to determine a winner. A final count of the votes will occur sometime this week, as the voting closes late on Tuesday, April 9th.
